The Challenge

Our client’s Service and Supply Management department aimed to ensure maturity in Asset Management by strengthening the reliability and availability of its fire suppression systems and service overhead cranes.

The challenge involved organizing, standardizing, and securing maintenance management, aligning critical assets with corporate policy, technical standards, and appropriate information system support.

Our Solution

OCG Chile, through its specialist Asset Management team, was selected to design and implement the Maintenance Operating System. The solution was executed comprehensively, addressing the complete asset management lifecycle and ensuring proper enablement in SAP.

This process began with a technical assessment and equipment structuring, followed by the identification and creation of functional locations. To guarantee data integrity, the team managed the cleaning, standardization, and implementation of Master Data while developing maintenance plans strictly aligned with criticality and reliability. Furthermore, OCG provided methodological support to ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards, concluding with the development of training materials and coaching to drive successful system adoption.

Key Impact

  • Enhanced maturity in asset management, with standardized and traceable maintenance processes.

  • Increased reliability and availability of critical safety and operational support systems.

  • Improved data quality and governance within SAP, enabling data-driven decision-making.

  • Teams trained and aligned with the model, ensuring sustainability and continuous improvement.
